The Bernese Oberland encompasses some of the most spectacular high mountain scenery in Switzerland. Two lakes, Lake Thun and Lake Brienz, sit at the base of the Jungfrau region, with alpine lakes and meadows, waterfalls plunging over cliffs into green valleys, topped by three massive peaks, the Eiger, Monch and Jungfrau.
