Tillamook
Tillamook Creamery - Visit the Tillamook where they-€™ve been making cheese for over for 100 years (we toured the cheese factory when we were kids ourselves).
At the visitor center, on the self-guided tour, kids can learn about dairy farming, see vats where the cheese is made, the big yellow blocks cut up and packaged, moving along the conveyor belts, at the end are free cheese samples.
Tillamook also makes ice cream, with lots of different flavors such as "Birthday cake," "Monster Cookie," "Oregon Strawberry," "Tillamook Mudslide" (chocolate) and more, plus ice cream sandwiches.
Tillamook Air Museum - Airplane buffs will want to stop into this museum to check out vintage airplanes, bi-planes, jet fighters, helicopters, a blimp and ride in a jet simulator. The museum is open daily.
Munson Creek Falls - Munson Creek Falls is a super spot for a lunch outdoors in the forest, picnic tables are located next to the parking area. It's a short walk to the waterfall, the trail goes right along the bubbling creek, under moss-covered trees, and lovely wildflowers in summer.
