Courant d'Huchet

The Courant River flows from Leon to the ocean through the Courant d'Huchet nature reserve.

Canoeing on the river - Take a 2 or 3 hour boat ride on the vine covered river, where you'll see lots of wildlife. Make your boat reservations at Lac de Leon, April to September.
Go for a hike - On the D328 road, outside of Leon, at the Pichelebe Bridge (Pont de Pichelebe), there are hiking paths on both side of the Courant River. This is a great place for birding - one km up the trail is an observation blind. Along the trail are flowering plants, and you'll see lots of frogs and birds. If you continue on the trail, it's 4 km to reach the ocean. Trails are open all year.
