Southend Pier - Where the Thames meets the sea, visit the Southend Pier, the longest pleasure pier in the world.

Walk or ride on the "pier trains" down to the end of the pier, over a mile long.

Adventure Island - At the beach amusement park with roller coasters, rides that splash down (and kids get wet), flying jumbos, choo choo train, carousel for younger kids, indoor play land, mini-golf, and go-karts.

Also take in the Southend Sea Life Adventure Aquarium to see rays native to Europe, turtles rescued from Essex area, touch pools with marine life in the Thames estuary, and colorful tropical fish too.
