Venice Beach - On a Sunday afternoon (or any day for that matter), Venice Beach is hopping. Stroll along the boardwalk, you'll find street musicians and jugglers, sidewalk vendors, ice cream and pizza, swings, playgrounds for the kids and picnic areas. Venice City Beach is a flat sandy beach with lifeguards, showers, bike path, and a small water play area.
Buy kites at the open air stalls on the board walk and fly them on the wide sandy beach.Rent roller blades, kid's bikes, strollers, umbrellas and boogie boards. Venice Canals Walkway (off Venice Blvd.) - The Venice Canals are a hidden treasure. Venice Canals Walkway is a lovely serene spot, especially popular with small kids. Stroll along the canals, watching for ducks and geese. Strollers are okay on the bridges.
