On Sundays are family programs.Robson Square - Robson Square is a three block area with pedestrian area, ice skating rink (skate rentals available), Christmas tree and lights in winter.Vancouver Public Library - On a bad weather day, head to this excellent children's library on the lower level. Find picture books about Canada, books in both English and French, area for toddlers – it's a comfy place for kids. Check the schedule for story telling hour. Plus, in the inner courtyard of the library are cafes with hot and cold drinks, snacks.
Vancouver Aquatic Centre (Beach Ave., near the Burrard Bridge) - On a gray or rainy day, head for this large indoor swimming pool, plus sauna and whirlpool. Public swims morning and early afternoon-evenings daily.

Robson Street is chock-a-block with places to get Vancouver souvenirs, including Canadian moose stuffed animals, totem poles, moccasins, Royal Canadian Mounted Police toys or First Nation arts and crafts.
