Arizona - Northwest

A large chunk of northwest Arizona is a geologic extravaganza, the Grand Canyon, but there's more to this part of the state. Here can kids can imagine they're ancient Anasazi or Havasupai people living in the desert, John Wesley Powell and his buddies riding down the Colorado River in a wooden rowboat, grizzled miners and their trusty burros prospecting for gold, or engineers building the Hoover Dam.
