The Calgary Tower - Ride the high-speed elevator to the observation deck and step out onto a glass floor, hundreds of feet above street level! The observation deck offers superb 360-° views and is a great spot to get your bearings on the city. Choose to ride to the top when the weather is clear and sunny to get the best views of the Rocky Mountains.
Devonian Gardens - An extraordinary indoor garden, a tropical jungle complete with waterfalls, ponds with fish and turtles, flower gardens and a children's play area. It's a great spot for a picnic lunch with kids on a cold or overcast day.
Glenbow Museum - The Mavericks exhibit in the museum is a history of Alberta, stories of different adventurous men and women - Mounties, ranchers, uninvited guests, oil men, pioneers, and more. In the exhibit there's even a full-size replica of a 1919 plane that crashed onto a carousel during the Calgary Stampede. There are Family Fun Sundays from 1 to 4 pm , included in museum admission.

The Discovery Hall features ever changing interactive exhibits. Head straight to WOWtown if you have preschoolers for some hands-on fun and take in a movie on the Discovery Dome's huge screen.
The Creative Kids Museum has five permanent exhibition spaces that are dedicated to the arts. It's a great spot for younger kids to explore and small enough that you can let them run free. Start with the feet-activated sound pads for some stimulating fun.
Shaw Millennium Park - Shaw Millennium Park, just southwest of the Science Centre, is a huge free outdoor, 24-hour skatepark. Here you'll find 75,000 sq ft of skating surface in tip-top condition for skateboarders, in-line skaters, and bike enthusiasts. But you don't have to participate to enjoy this venue - spectators are welcome. The skatepark is popular with children of all ages and the atmosphere is friendly and collaborative.
